Doug retired from KCBS Radio in the Spring of 2025. He is playing music again and writing his first conventional novel (not a Twitter one this time!), “All Great And Precious Things”. Target pub date: 2027

Doug recorded “Kinds of Blue,” a new album of avant-blues with Henry Kaiser, Scott Amendola and Owen Maercks, which dropped in October 2019.
Doug’s most recent short story “Grace Notes” appeared in the Winter 2019 issue of Catamaran Literary Reader.
Doug’s short story “Indira” won First Prize in the Short Story Contest at the 2018 Mendocino Coast Writers’ Conference, and appears in the 2019 edition of Noyo River Review.
